Litiasis del conducto de Wharton en la glándula submaxilar derecha

Resumen

Se presenta una revisión bibliográfica actualizada sobre las características clínicas y radiográficas de las litiasis de las glándulas salivales mayores y especialmente de la submaxilar, así como también acerca de los criterios terapéuticos de esta afección. Como valor agregado se describe el caso de un paciente con litiasis múltiple en el conducto de la glándula submaxilar (cuadro clínico, tratamiento y evolución).

Wharton's duct lithiasis in the right submaxillary gland

ABSTRACT 

An updated literature survey on radiographical and clinical characteristics of the lithiases in major salivary glands, especially submaxillary gland, as well as on the therapeutic approaches of this condition is exposed. As added value, a case with multiple lithiasis in the submaxillary gland duct (clinical pattern, treatment and progression) is described.
