Se llevó a cabo una intervención educativa para modificar conocimientos sobre los hábitos alimentarios en 30 adolescentes pertenecientes al consultorio San Fernando, del Policlínico Docente “Camilo Torres Restrepo” de Santiago de Cuba, desde enero hasta septiembre del 2006. Las reuniones e intercambios de ideas y opiniones con los jóvenes favoreció la transmisión de informaciones muy provechosas sobre la selección de alimentos que debían consumir, teniendo en cuenta los más sanos y necesarios para mantener sus cuerpos saludables. Se recomienda extender el estudio a sus padres y familiares, así como generalizarlo a otros consultorios del área de salud.

An educational intervention was carried out to modify knowledge of the eating habits in 30 adolescents belonging to San Fernando doctor´s office from "Camilo Torres Restrepo" Teaching Polyclinic in Santiago de Cuba, from January to September, 2006. The meetings and exchanges of ideas and opinions with the adolescents favored the transmission of very profitable informations on the selection of foods that they should eat, keeping in mind the healthiest and necessary foods to maintain their bodies healthy . It is recommended to extend the study to their parents and family, as well as to generalize it to other doctors´offices of the health area.
